Special Agent Hank Harrison will explain SLED’s Arson Investigation Unit and how the unit is requested. Get an inside look at how this unit conducts arson investigations and how it interacts with insurance companies and SIU’s. Plus, you will get to see a K-9 demonstration.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED)
Special Agent (S/A) Harrison began his career in law enforcement in 1996 and has been employed by several state and local agencies. Since February 2007, S/A Harrison has been employed by SLED and is assigned to the Arson Investigation Unit and is a certified accelerant detection canine handler. S/A Harrison is a 1995 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. S/A Harrison has completed the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, South Carolina Fire Academy and courses at the National Fire Academy.
