Brenda Powell Wells holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Ph.D. in risk management and insurance from the University of Georgia.
She serves as the director of East Carolina University’s risk management and insurance program and as the faculty advisor of Gamma Iota Sigma’s Beta Theta Chapter. Wells is also a Robert F. Bird Distinguished Professor of Risk Management and Insurance.
