Tom Cattell is a Catastrophe Claim Manager for Mid America. He started his career with State Farm as an auto adjuster and has worn many hats throughout his 30-year career in the insurance industry from claims to product implementations to management.
Michael Wise was appointed Acting Director of the SCDOI in April 2022 and will remain in place until such time the governor appoints a new director, and they are confirmed by the South Carolina Senate.
Director Wise has been with the Department since 2009 and serves as Deputy Director of Actuarial and Market Services. A South Carolina native and graduate of Furman University, Director Wise resides with his wife and children in Richland County in Columbia, South Carolina.
